AquaWorld’s leadership receives the prestigious mark of Social Responsible Business for 2017.[/caption]
AquaWorld begins its 31st year of successful operations with a special recognition. It made the prestigious list of Socially Responsible Businesses in Mexico for 2017.
As the premier company specializing in water fun in the Mexican Caribbean, AquaWorld positions itself even higher with the badge of Social Responsibility, known as ESR for its Spanish acronym.
As a result, the award places AquaWorld among elite companies in Mexico who share the distinguished ESR label.
‘We are very pleased and very proud to have received the ESR Badge for the first time this year,” said Damian Trujillo, AquaWorld’s general manager.
Additionally, “I acknowledge the work of each member of the company,’ he said. ‘I am convinced that it will be the first of many more achievements.”
Making the List of Socially Responsible Businesses in Mexico
Most noteworthy, ESR is the highest award from the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (Centro Mexicano para la Filantropía, or CEMEFI).
And AquaWorld has demonstrated CEMEFI’s five key criteria for handing out the badge:
- Management of Social Business Responsibility,
- Business ethics,
- Quality of life,
- Community outreach,
- Environmental outreach.
Hence CEMEFI lauded AquaWorld’s departments for helping embody the tenets of an SRE-caliber company.
Consequently, these departments are: operations and maintenance, merchandising and marketing, finance, diving, human resources, and boutique sales.
Likewise, Trujillo agreed with this assertion from CEMEFI, praising every one of AquaWorld’s departments. Most of all, he called each of the 500 members of the AquaWorld family a valuable asset that drives the success of the company.
Last year, AquaWorld participated in a fundraiser for cancer treatment, which involved collecting bottle caps. Actions like this are part of AquaWorld’s constant community outreach.[/caption]

More Awards for AquaWorld
In addition, Trujillo expressed gratitude for another award AquaWorld earned last year.
“In 2016, we also received the recognition of Best Practices in Corporate Social Responsibility in the category of ‘Care and Preservation of the Environment,’” Trujillo said.
Finally, he said these type of awards show that the new AquaWorld is on the right track toward a bright future.
