Isla Mujeres Ferry and its history.

Ferry transportation from Cancun to Isla Mujeres began with the Magaña company, which operated for approximately 50 years. Their ferries departed from Puerto Juarez to Isla Mujeres and later the competition increased.

As the years went by, new maritime companies were integrated offering transportation services from Cancun to Isla Mujeres and vice versa, among which Ultramar Ferry, Marinsa and Naveganto stand out.

However, Ferries Magaña stopped operating in 2016 after the entry of Ultramar Ferry in the sector, since this company arrived with innovative ferries displacing Magaña’s ferries.

During this time Ultramar Ferry has positioned itself as a national leader in the segment of maritime passenger transportation, leaving behind its competitors such as Marinsa and Naveganto, because so far the operating costs and conditions of the ferries have become very obsolete to the innovative technology that Ultramar Ferry offers to its users.
