Cenote Zapote

Overview

Connect with the Mayan culture in the cenotes of Puerto Morelos

Snorkel in Cenotes in the Riviera Maya. At Cenote Zapote you can swim, snorkel, swing from zip lines, a bike ride through the jungle, try authentic Yucatecan food, and relax in hammocks, a day full of action.

Zapote is one of the best cenotes near Cancun, just a few miles to the south there is a turn-off called ‘La ruta de los cenotes’. Most of the well-known cenote tours take place along this stretch and many of the cenotes are connected.

Cenotes Cancun

As there are no cenotes in Cancun itself, this tour is a bonus because it’s not far at all (and transportation can be arranged). Although there are thousands of cenotes in Mexico, the Zapote cenote is a must-see due to its bell-shaped formations and crystal clear waters. It’s ideal for snorkeling! Also, fun fact, fossils of a sloth dating back to 10,500 B.C. were found at the bottom of the cenote!
But the adventure does not end with the cenotes, in this Eco Park, you can zip line 500 meters over the jungle before feasting on a traditional Yucatan lunch.

It’s a perfect way to spend a fun day no matter the weather! Rain or shine, visit one of the best cenotes in Cancun, a day jam-packed with activities and fun. Zapote is also an eco-park, this gives the tour an extra touch with other activities included to enjoy within the day.
