SWIM WITH THE WHALE SHARKS AND TOP OFF YOUR DAY WITH SNORKELING AND CEVICHE
This activity in Cancun is truly amazing and not to be missed if you are visiting the area from the beginning of June until mid-September. Private charters available, please contact us for details.
The whale shark excursion departs from Punta Sam, transportation is included from Riviera Maya hotels (please specify your hotel on the shopping cart page and pick up time to be confirmed upon booking)
*For Cancun hotels, the excursion departs from Aquaworld at 8.00am (Km 15.2 of the Hotel Zone)
The whale sharks are commonly located off the coast of Isla Holbox and Isla Contoy. During peak season it’s usual to see 30-40 whale sharks at a time and as they float to the surface to feed on the plankton, you jump to the water and swim alongside.
These formidable creatures are filter feeders so they swim against the current, put your snorkel skills to the test to keep up with a fish that is twice or three times your size.
This incredible whale shark experience in Cancun is a dream come true, you will also come across giant Manta Rays as they swim in groups and surround you with curiosity.
After your swim it’s time to head to Isla Mujeres for a delicious buffet lunch in our private beach club.
*The excursion from Riviera Maya heads to Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres instead, there you can swim and enjoy some fresh ceviche and guacamole.
Arrival time to Punta Sam and Aquaworld respectively is around 2.30pm and from here we will drop you back to your Riviera Maya Hotel.
